BILTC Panel: Beyond Words
/ Au-Delà Des Paroles
A blockbuster panel discussion featuring author Elizabeth Hay, winner of the 2007 Scotiabank Giller Prize, Commonwealth Best Book winner Shauna Singh Baldwin, and Governor General's award-winning playwright Évelyne de la Chenelière speaking on the interplay between translation and the writing life. The three panelists are part of this summer's Banff International Literary Translation Centre (BILTC) where they are in residency with their translators, respectively Nina van Rossem (Netherlands), Nevena Dichlieva-Krysteva (Bulgaria), and Humberto Perez Mortera (Mexico), working on soon-to-be published translations. For the past six years, the BILTC residency has brought together translators and authors from around the world in a truly international literary forum.
