Hi Shauna, I just watched the Netflix movie A Call to Spy, about Noor and her fellow female spies. I thought it was a bit simplistic with lots of meaningful looks etc, but afterwards I was reminding myself about Noor by looking up Wikipedia. And The Tiger Claw is not listed in her Wikipedia entry! This should be corrected. Susan

Dear Shauna Mam, I have just heard you speaking live in one of the webinar organised by our college and I wanted to connect to you since a very long time. Sometimes things leave a marking impression on others and so was your words and your smile. I also know that your writing keeps you busy but I will be glad if my message reaches you. Hoping you would reply back. Thankyou.

Hello, My 2021 years resolution is to send at least two notes of gratitude to people who made some kind of difference in my life. Most of the people to whom I’m sending notes are people I know. A few are strangers, including Shauna. I am writing to say that one of my favourite books of all time is “What the Body Remembers”. It opened my eyes to the India-Pakistan partition, to Sikhism, and to new forms of inequality experienced by women. I am a member of two book clubs and both clubs have read the book. While not everyone loved the book is much as I do, it nonetheless inspired two hours of passion discussion in both groups. So I’m writing with a simple message of thanks for writing this book. Karen Busby

What the body remembers is a book that stays with you, always. My father and his family lived through those times, and it was so wonderful to read an account of it through the book's characters eyes. My grandmother and her mother and sisters where there in the Punjab in that period, and I loved your book for the depiction of that time.

Dear Shauna-- We met some years ago at Blue-Met and were on a panel together. I've admired your work for so many years and have done book talks on a number of your novels, including "The Tiger's Claw" at libraries and bookclubs here in Montreal. We are also TransAtlantic Sisters. At long last, I have a new novel, "In Many Waters" forthcoming next Spring 2017. It centres on three orphans whose lives intersect in Malta and grapples with our refugee crisis and multicultural themes and issues of identity. I am contacting a few writers who I admire for blurbs. Would you able to provide a blurb? It would mean a great deal to me. If it's a yes, I can email you the novel. Or if it's better, post you a bound copy. Let me know! Warmly, Ami
